Dr. VP (Varghese Philip)

Dr. VP and his wife Nirmala, currently serve with Mission Aviation Fellowship based in Timor-Leste. Both are graduates from CMC Vellore in the early 80s. They were part of the team that started Asha Kiran Hospital in Orissa. Following that they moved to Delhi to be part of the Emmanuel Hospital Association (EHA). Nirmala was involved in starting the HIV/AIDS care center in Delhi while VP was part of the EHA leadership. Both have been part of the Evangelical Medical Fellowship of India for a major part of their lives in encouraging and supporting medical missions.

Ms. Maggie Matheson

Ms. Maggie in professional life worked with drug users, women in street prostitution been part of a hospital chaplaincy team. She gained a Masters in Theology in 2012. In 1994, worked at Christian Medical College (CMC) Hospital, Tamil Nadu, as an oncology nurse. She has been involved in the development of T4L training materials since 2010. She is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Every ALIVE session has brought new realisation about how God works to bring healing to people’s lives.

Mr. Jibi Thomas Kuruvilla

Jibi is working as the Training Coordinator with Transform4Life. After graduating in English Literature and Language he went on to do Bachelor of Divinity. He served as a missionary in different parts of India. In addition to ministering to youths, he was involved in training evangelists. He is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Psychology. He is married to Heera Bobby and blessed with a son Nathanael. They are based in Kerala, India.

Mr. David Dyer

David is a retired Primary School teacher (23 years) and Principal (16 years). David has been involved in church leadership over thirty years and currently chairs the Active Care Team at Mill Park Baptist Church, and the Chaplaincy Committee for Whittlesea Secondary College and Primary School. David and his wife live in Mernda, a northern outer suburb of Melbourne, in Victoria. They have four adult children and five delightful grandchildren.

Dr. Kuruvilla George (KG)

Dr. Kuruvilla George is originally from Singapore. He completed his medical education in India and his post-graduation as a psychiatrist in the UK. He currently lives in Melbourne Australia and recently retired as the Director of Medical Services  at Peter James Centre and Wantirna Health and Clinical Director of Aged Person’s Mental Health and ECT for Eastern Health. KG served as the deputy chief psychiatrist for the state of Victoria from 2002 to 2012.

KG and his family lived in India as missionaries from 1986 to 1995. He was the general secretary of the Evangelical Medical Fellowship of India and travelled widely visiting medical colleges and mission hospitals ministering to health care professionals. Kuruvilla is married to Margaret who is from the UK and has four grown children and four grandchildren.

Ms. Valsa Augustine

Ms. Valsa Augustine is a psychologist. She started her career in CMC Vellore as Psychologist and subsequently joined Schieffelin Institute of Health – Research Leprosy Centre, Karigiri where her husband was working. As a psychologist, now she works with the Leprosy affected persons to deal and cope with their psychological issues due to stigma. She is involved in training and counselling.

Mr. Brighton Anbu

A Management Professional by Qualification and a Youth Counsellor by Calling. working among Youngsters, Teachers and Corporate Leaders in the areas of Counselling, Leadership and Empowerment. He also facilitates leadership and empowerment sessions for Schools, Colleges, Corporates and Mission Organizations. He is a graduate in Allied Health Sciences and MBA in Human Resources Management. He is currently pursuing his doctoral research in Christian Management. He is married to Priscilla Manuel who is a psychologist and is blessed with two lovely daughters Cheruba and Serapha.

Dr. Vinitha Ravindran

Dr. Vinitha completed Masters in Paediatric Nursing from College of Nursing, CMC Vellore and pursued PhD in Nursing from the University of Alberta, Canada. She has been a faculty of Nursing at CMC Vellore for the past 30 years and currently holds a position as Professor and Head of Continuing Nursing Education and Research. She has many years of academic and clinical teaching experience in Paediatric Nursing. She lives in Vellore with her husband, daughter, and parents.

Dr. George Cherian

Dr. George Cherian is a trained dentist. He holds Master’s in Dental Surgery in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology. He served as Professor Head of Department in Dental Colleges across India. He is progressing to do Master of Christian Ministry Doctor of Ministry. He is a Council Member of the New Life Church having pioneered Church Networks in the Information Technology Corridor of Bangalore. Along with his wife Dr Ann George, serve as Marriage Counsellors as well as Family Life Educators including Parenting across the globe. They have three children, of which two are adopted and with challenges. They are based in Bangalore.

Mrs. Jemy Ann Augustine

Mrs. Jemy is working as an Associate Professor in a Nursing College. Jemy has a postgraduate degree in Mental Health Nursing with practical exposure and guidance from NIMHANS, Bangalore. She is also a member of Christian Medical Association, Trained Nurses Association and of Indian Society of Psychiatric Association. Presently she is also working with Seraph Impact Foundation an NGO as the Director for Impact – training, equipping, and counselling on various personality and mental health related issues

Rev. Dr. Augustine A Koshy

A pastor at heart. Involved in cross cultural ministry for over 46 years with Operation Mobilisation till 2017. Completed his Master’s in Divinity from UBS, Pune and Doctorate from SAIACS, Bangalore. The doctoral thesis was on Empowering the Laity as Shepherds. Rev. Augustine worked as the Director of Training department of Operation Mobilisation India for 15 years. Being an ordained minister of St. Thomas Evangelical Church of India (STECI) presently pastors a church in Hyderabad. Married to Omana and have two daughters and four grandchildren. Based in Secunderabad (India), actively involved in Family Enrichment, Pre-Marital Seminars and walk along with those who are hurting. He is Director for Transform4Lifeministry in India since last four years.

Dr. Sunny Philip

Dr. Sunny Philip is a Human Relations specialist. After the Post-Graduation, Sunny lectured at the Manager Training Institute in Australia, training bank staff into managerial levels. For the doctoral thesis, Sunny researched the topic of burnout in medical doctors. He is trained in Leadership, Conflict Management, Relationship Counselling, and Strategies for Trauma Awareness and Resilience.
